Henry Lhuillier (HL) is one of the oldest pawnshops in the Philippines, founded in 1954 by a Frenchman, Henry Lhuillier. A seasoned businessman in the European Jewelry business for many years, Henry was one of pioneers in the local industry, addressing the demand for both short-term micro-financing as well as jewelry sales.

Now in our 3rd generation, the current management team took the reins of the company in the late 80's, to expand both the company's locations and its menu of products and services.

HL is best known as one of the most trusted and reliable pawnshops in the country. With an unmatched, firm focus on customer service, we take pride in pursuing our motto: "Our Customers are No.1". HL seeks to become an essential component of a community's financial needs, with services that include pawn services, international and domestic money remittance, bills payment, micro-insurance, mobile-phone loads and others. Many of its services are offered as alliances or joint-ventures with other financial institutions. Despite increasing competition in the industry, HL has managed to retain most of its loyal customers over the years.

HL has recently enhanced its marketing efforts by launching its new mascot, Kuya Henry. Kuya Henry will further pursue the company's customer-friendly approach by growing our group of customers/friends. Hence, its new tag line; Masaya ka dito, Kaibigan

The company's management aims to continue its reliability and economic relevance in many of the Philippine's growing communities. HL will maintain exposure primarily in the Visayas and Mindanao area, where it sees steady growth and demand for its products, from all classes of society, with the majority of which are "un-banked" or "under-banked". The company owns all of its locations, and currently has no plans to franchise out.
